A large, approximately 17' x 4' half moon sign, reverse painted on a cream background with intricate gilt and silver accented script that reads "DEANE & ADAMS. / PURVEYOR OF MILITARY ANTIQUTIES WAR DEPARTMENTS & RULERS OF INDIA / ALL THE PRINCIPAL COLONIES SUPPLIED", with a center English Royal coat of arms. Maker marked for Carter Hackney. N. Framed by a contemporary 6-piece frame with 4 hanging slats with hooks for hanging. CONDITION: Glass is very good with some typical rubs through paint from age and the elements; some chipping, most offensive 1 - 1/2" x 4 - 1/2" (piece retained). Wooden slats are with typical rubs and exposure to elements.
