Manufactured in 1956 with features including 6" matte ribbed barrel with blade front sight and adjustable rear sight. Marked on left side of barrel with "PYTHON .357 / (star) .357 MAGNUM CTG. (star)". Trigger guard is marked with VP proof and left side of frame is marked with Rampant Colt. Blued finish with 2 piece checkered walnut grips inset with gold Rampant Colt medallions on either side. PROVENANCE: From the personal and advanced collection of Dr. Jim Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona. CONDITION: Excellent+, with nearly all of the original factory bluing remaining with the most notable loss being minor freckling on one side of cylinder and light turn line. Grips are strong with no major signs of distress. Mechanically excellent. Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
