Manufactured in 1941 in the "B" production block. Some "B" prefix Johnson rifles are known to have been in the possession of the USMC during World War II; the Marine Corps procured 750 rifles in total. The parkerized barrel is stamped under the heat shield "J.A. / 30-06" as well as discreetly import marked "IA CO" on the side. Standard protected blade front sight and adjustable rear sight graduated to 900 meters. Barrel bushing marked ".30-06" and "41". Receiver stamped on top with maker, model, patent information, and with "CRANSTON / ARMS" logo. Standard 2-piece walnut stocks with a checkered steel butt plate. Complete with leather sling, bayonet, and leather scabbard. CONDITION: Good. Rifle finish has largely faded to a dark gray patina with evidence of cleaned oxidation. Stock has a darkened appearance with some scattered impressions. Dark frosted bore. Good mechanics. Bayonet is very good.
