The standard issue French sniper rifle since 1986. This example was imported by Navy Arms and remains in classic configuration. Strengthened phosphate finished MAS 36 based bolt action marked on the left with pertinent information. Matching numbered black polymer barrel shroud forend with integral sights, folding aluminum bipod, and rubber cover. Standard hardwood stock with serrated pistol grip and serrated composite butt plate. As is rarely seen on examples in the United States, a Scrome J8F1 scope and mount with case and rubber eyepieces accompanies this lot. A standard sealed kit with 2 10-round magazines with carrier, stock extensions, cheekpieces, sling, cleaning kit, and manual is also included. CONDITION: Very good overall. Rifle retains the vast majority of its arsenal finishes with some moderate wear. Stocks have some expected scattered dings and nicks. Very good, well defined bore. Fine mechanics. Scope has some surface scratching on the housing but crystal clear optics. A very nice example of a scarce sniper rifle with rarely encountered optic.
