Chopper lump barrels with a bead front sight on finely matted solid rib, equipped with claw mounts and a 4 leaf rear sight, 3 folding leaves for 100, 200, and 300 meters, and a ladder sight with sliding elevator adjustable from 400 to 1000 meters. J.P. Sauer information on tubes, with a central area in rib between claw mounts with Voelker's information. Muzzles are engraved in a double chip pattern, while breeches have elaborate triangles of acanthus scroll around steel designations, approximately 1 - 1/4". Doll's head rib extension with slot for a Greener crossbolt. Ejectors, with interesting inset blades, presumably to throw spent brass to the left and right. Barrel flats with German U proof, 10.5mm bore diameter, and Suhl man with spear; evidence of other proofs that are now obfuscated. Underside of tubes with Crown G proof and serial number. Splinter forearm with slightly schnabeled tip with horn insert, Deely latch release, and checkered in point pattern. Exterior iron engraved with fine scroll, interior with partially matching "802", and an indiscernible stamp in wood. Barrel flats with serial number, Crown U and eagle proofs, and an encircled "WB". Gas vent strikers, Greener crossbolt, cocking indicators, Greener side safety, and engraved with nearly complete coverage of fine scroll mixed with oak leaves, accented by safari scenes of a male and female lion on either side, and a nicely detailed scene of a tiger and elephant facing off, the elephant readying to stomp the dodging tiger, while the rest of the herd watches. Double triggers, both set, protected by a flat bottom trigger guard with gold initials "JSA". Nicely grained walnut stock checkered in point pattern about the wrist and fit with a steel pistol grip cap engraved en suite, beaded cheekpiece, vacant oval on toe line, and horn buttplate. Housed in a brass tabbed leather wrapped case with "M.A.B." engraved on brass rectangle on lid, and containing a pair of glass James Dixon oil bottles, both full, brushes, three-piece cleaning rod with removable head, and a Carp Zeiss Jena optic in an unusual periscope configuration with German No. 1 reticle on corresponding claw mounts. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels have the vast majority of their bluing with some handling marks and a few spots of mossing, thinning at the J.P. Sauer information. Underside of rib with screws, probably for a sling base.Forearm very good with some handling marks, but free of cracks or chips, some oil staining on iron. Action is very good with crisp engraving, and the vast majority of original case colors, better retained towards rear, with silvering at sharp edges and fading towards carry point. Stock excellent with some minor handling marks and indentations, but free of cracks or chip; buttplate with some losses at toe. Mechancially fine, bores are very good with some soft frosting throughout, glass is clear, reticle a little chipped. Case is very good with some rubs and age related distress.

ADDENDUM: The initials on the case lid and trigger guard are not matching.
