This is a standard US issue 1898 rifle made in 1903 with updated 1902 rear sight and handguard. Full length walnut stock with crisp JSA 1903 Cartouche. (Joseph Adams) and script P on wrist. Blue finish with oil quenched magazine & side plate, three swivels. CONDITION. Excellent. Extractor still has some bright nitre blue, barrel shows 90% finish, receiver is dulling. All legends crisp as new. Wood is excellent with usual scattered impressions and dings and is stamped 425 on right side. Action is slick and bore is defined but dark and dirty, should clean better. Very nice example
