Full length walnut stock has the SWP cartouche on left side (Sam Porter) along with date 189?. The block is stamped 1884 but the rear sight is the 1879 type, built in rod bayonet. All other features standard issue. CONDITON. Very good. This is an attic find survivor, untouched. all metal is brown patina, wood shows battle scars and there is a crack on left side at block. All proper legends and proofs are legible. Bore is defined but dark & dirty.
