Circa 2015. A very nice Italian made over under big game double rifle. Blacked monobloc 26” barrels with ejectors. Top barrel with a finely filed spearpoint rib that has been built with one standing and one folding rear sight. Standing sight regulated for 50 yards and with gold line. Folding sight is regulated for 75 yards and with gold line. Rifle is fit with a Swarovski Z5i 2.4 -12x50 scope on EAW claw mount system. Rifles top barrel is fit with an island ramped bladed front sight. Bottom barrel fit with eye for sling loop. Barrel flat reads “P & V”, ”2988”, Italian proofs and “CAT 14305”. Bottom barrel stamped “CAL .416REM”. Coin finished boxlock action with light border scrolls and reads "PERUGINI & VISINI" on both exterior action walls. Action bottom is handsomely engraved with standing elephant in field. Action is built with double triggers, blacked checkered top lever, and blacked checkered slide safe. “S” is engraved. The light reddish brown nicely figured walnut stock with pistol hand grip is finely checkered and fit with cheek piece, eye for sling loop, and finished by a black rubber recoil pad. Finely and sharp checkered Schanble styled forend with blacked engraved Deeley styled latch release. Gun lives in the maker’s tan single leather case made by Nizzoli. The maker’s black leather and gold gilded label is attached to the interior lid. Copies of 2 targets are inside the case. The rifle is fit with a Vero Vellini brand sling. CODNITION: Barrels retain most of their original blue with minor rub marks from forend. Bores are bright and shiny with good rifling. Buttstock and forend with handling/storage marks. Case is very good with some handling/storage marks.
