Circa 2012. A dangerous game safari rifle made with blued steel nitro proofed 24” mono-bloc barrels. Barrels are nicely furnished with ejectors, filed quarter rib with standing and folding sights, raised bladed front sight and eye for sling loop. Standing rear sight regulated for 100 yards, folding rear sights regulated for 100 and 150 yards. Rib reads “470 NE” in gold and left barrel reads “LUCIANO BOSIS BRESCIA-ITALY”. Both barrels with gold bands at breech. Barrel flats marked “470NE”, “604”, “MADE IN ITALY”, ”CI” and with Italian proofs. Bottom rib with importers stamp “WOODCOCK HILL BENTON PA”. Scalloped and reinforced (bolstered) boxlock action is coin finished with border engraving and is engraved “LUCIANO BOSIS” on left and “BRESCIA ITALY” on right. Bottom action is engraved with cape buffalo standing in tall grass. Engraving is nicely executed by Parravicini Inc. as signed ahead of trigger guard on right. Action is designated with set disk strikers and double triggers, front hinged. Top lever is pierced and with an ornamental grotesque at thumb. Slide safe is checkered. “SAFE” is in gold. Action flat reads “L BOSIS”, “604” and with proofs. Shiny trigger guard with border scroll extends to a full length bottom strap with border scroll and engraved with serial number. European walnut action with nice and strong figure has been built with pistol hand grip that has a coin finished skeleton cap at base. Stock with beaded cheek piece, eye for sling loop, golden vacant oval and finished with a black pad. Matching beavertail forend with checkered Anson style release and gold “LUCIANO BRESCIA BOSIS” crest. Exterior iron metal is engraved with border scroll. Interior with “604”. Rifle resides in brown leathered / brass cornered case with “LUCIANO BOSIS“ trade label, brass cleaning rod, snap caps, oil bottle, striker pot with spare firing pins / springs, cleaning accessories and keys for case. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain mostly all of their original blue and rifling is sharp. Action, triggers and ejectors operate well to test. Stock and forend are very good with very light handling marks. Case is very good with some storage indication.
