Nice example of a Big Bear sub hilt knife that was crafted by renowned knife maker Robert "Bob" Loveless. The knife features a 8" clip point blade marked "R.W. LOVELESS / maker / Riverside, Calif." on the obverse blade. Marked "R.W.L." on the ricasso. The blade retains its original bright polished sheen with crisp markings. Grip shape is Loveless' famous "Big Bear" style with angled down stainless crossguard and curved grip ferrule on 1 side. Brown micarta grip scales are held in place by stainless pins and pierced to accommodate a stainless lanyard ring. Stainless escutcheon on obverse grip. Tang is nicely bordered with red spacers. Grip exhibits light handling wear with intact scales. The knife is housed in an unmarked brown leather scabbard. Black paracord attached. The scabbard remains pliable and exhibits scattered light blemishes with tight stitching. CONDITION: Very good.
