A maker that needs no introduction, Bob Loveless is known as one of the greatest modern knifemakers. The high end knives he crafted for the consumer market as well as US government organizations such as the CIA and US Army Special Forces are sought after by collectors. This example features a 3 - 3/4" blade and 8 - 1/8" overall length. The blade is marked with R.W. Loveless maker marks on the obverse side with reclined nude woman logo. Serial numbered "-408" on ricasso. Blade is bright with crisp markings. Stag grip scales with stainless pins and lanyard loop. Handle shows no major signs of distress. Complete with serial number matching "-408" leather scabbard that is marked on the throat with the Loveless signature stamp. Scabbard exhibits minor handling marks with light staining and tight stitching. Consigner states this knife was a specially ordered knife for a gentleman who requested the handle be thinner and not as bulky, making it rarer. CONDITION: Excellent
