C. 1910. This is a very early and rare cigar vending machine, manufactured by the International Vending Machine Co. of St. Louis and distributed by the Standard Vending Machine Co. of Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Beautiful quartered oak case in original finish and patina showing excellent grain, 4 position vending (3 for cigars and 1 for a very rare added cigarette vending apparatus), copper flashing on all the hardware. This version is a multi-denominational machine with the first position being for 5¢ cigars, 1 for 10¢ cigars, one for 2 cigars for 25¢ and 15¢ for a pack of cigarettes. Originally manufactured in various sizes, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 12 vending positions. This 4 position version provided variety without taking up square footage. Cigars were gravity fed into the mechanisms directly from the cigar boxes as laws of the day required clear view of the tax stamps. CONDITION: Shows light signs of wear, a beautiful curved glass presentation, rear glass panel has a small corner crack, and an original finish cabinet with some finish loss. A great vending machine that would look perfect filled with colorful cigar boxes. Manufactured during the same time period as Mills, Caille and Watling upright slots and would look perfect in a saloon setting. Comes with a period stand for display.

This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.

Condition: (Very Good)

Item Dimensions: 35" x 19 - 3/4" x 26".
