Nathan Starr’s improved Model 1812 saber, also known as the 1812/13 pattern. This example with "P / HHP / N STARR" markings, indicating inspection by Henry H. Perkin and thus a pre-1817 production date. Blade with dark gray patina and edge wear. Iron hilt has the standard reverse-P shaped knucklebow slotted for a sword knot and marked with an additional “P” proofmark on its exterior. Wood grip with leather wrap that exhibits wear. CONDITION: Fair.
