Original Third Reich Sturm Abteilung (SA) gorget. This SA gorget represents the organization’s 1920s style eagle and swastika this high quality piece is made from nickel silver throughout. The gorget measures about 5” x 5 – 1/2”, and it has a 23” chain. On the reverse is a nickel silver disc with “RZM 21” mark, attached to the felt backing. One end of the chain is mounted to an attachment point on the gorget, while the other end is mounted to a long hook, and can be detached. Another long hook would secure the gorget to the wearer’s uniform. A very desirable early SA gorget.
