DSP. Maker marked, "Kirn Signs." An exceptionally rare and unique c. 1950s new old stock "Cool" Ice double-sided porcelain neon sign, complete with the labeled original shipping crate. CONDITION: Side 1 has outstanding color and gloss throughout. The sign presents a virtually flawless inner and outer field, with the exception of very minor surface staining and a missing neon standoff. The outer edges of the sign show two minor sections porcelain loss on the extreme outer edge of the piece (9.25). Side 2 also has strong color and gloss, with only very minor surface staining to note. The outer edges of the sign have slightly more porcelain loss than the previous side, and the sign is missing an original bolt from the outer edge and standoff (9.25). The can is in excellent condition, with only minor areas of surface staining to note. The wooden crate is addressed from: Art Neon in Chicago to the Fulton Theater in Fulton, MO. The electric is newly done, and the neon lights blue on both sides.
