An incredibly clean and outstanding displaying example of this C. 1940's Porcelain Pump Sign for Smitholene Aviation Brand Gasoline showing iconic soaring Airplane graphic with unique colors and block style script. A product of W.D. Smith & Son, Texarkana, Texas. CONDITION: Sign is in outstanding condition throughout showing an excellent condition inner field showing excellent color & gloss with no notable wear in the graphic. Sign shows some very minimal surface blemishes in the outer field as well as one small scratch at the right near the edge. Sign shows minimal wear at the top mounting hole with very faint nicks at the left outer edge. A very tough to find piece in high grade, one of the finest examples we have ever sold.
