This is an early cast-iron countertop trade stimulator made by the Pag Mfg. Co. in Chicago, circa 1900. In gold paint with original front paper label, the machine operates by pushing up a lever in the back which spins the dial. The operation of the trade stimulator is unknown, however it advertises drinks on the house and is embossed "Amount Purchased" across the bottom. A very early trade stimulator with the right look for any bar room.
