Pair of English Fairbairn Sykes fighting knives with scabbards. (A) 6-7/8" double edged blade, Blue finish with Oval flat double guard marked ENGLAND. Grooved metal handle with copper finish and traces of black in protected areas, "1" stamped at top of butt next to skull crusher. Scabbard is brown leather with blackened brass tip and brown elastic retainer. No marking evident. CONDITION: Very good with most finish remaining on blade. Handle has faded. Blade is excellent. Scabbard is good, intact and supple. (B) 6-7/8" double edged Fat blade, Blue finish with Oval flat double guard marked ENGLAND with broad arrow and 62. Grooved metal handle with copper finish and traces of black in protected areas, "4" stamped at top of butt next to skull crusher. Scabbard is brown leather with blackened brass tip and brown stretched elastic retainer. No marking evident. CONDITION: Good with excellent blade and thinning finish on handle. Scabbard is very good with stretched elastic.
