PHENOMENAL EARLY WOOD-CARVED CAROUSEL HORSE

C. 1910. CONDITION: An original wood-carving of a carousel horse, showing aged original paint. Shows great carvings and relief, including a cherub's head on the back of the saddle. It has the original carved ears and an added new tail. Provenance to the carousel is unknown, but definitely from an early wood-carved carousel. Shows age cracks, which is typical of unrestored carousel horses. A wonderful early example.
