C. 1900. They don't come much better than this. Manufactured by the Atwater MFG. CO. of North Chicago. The foundational design is documented in U.S. Patent No. 661,979, issued Nov. 20, 1900, to Christian Rasmus Hanson. The patent explains the goal very plainly: an advertising device that rotates and illuminates to attract attention day and night. CONDITION: This particular example of the 84" floor model "Cyclo" pole has been meticulously restored in bright beautiful paint and electrified. The pole had been restored and then crated, and has been uncrated for this auction and never on display until now. No wear or scratches, the pole is operational and simply a wonderful example of early trade advertising.

This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.

Condition: (Restored).
