RAY "CRASH" CORRIGAN'S PERSONAL SCREEN-USED EDWARD H. BOHLIN PARADE SADDLE

This film used black floral carved "Dick Dickson Jr" model Edward H. Bohlin saddle is built on a Miles City tree with 13" swells, 14" seat, and 3-1/2" cantle. The Bohlin seat plate is engraved with the name "Ray Corrigan". The front is fully engraved silvered and includes a twisted rope edged horn with raised buffalo head atop. The rear cantle binding is likewise engraved and rope edged. The saddle is heavily adorned with heavy gauge sterling silver diamond and half-diamonds which lead to stylized corner mountings. The regal and dramatic Tapaderos measure 21" in overall length mirroring the same diamond pattern but including Bohlin's signature floral spots and a large silver "C" for the actor. Saddle includes a black and white wool Corona pad, cinch, and the original Bohlin custom fitted shipping trunk. Accompanying letter from Corrigan attests to his ownership and indicates that it was ridden by him in The Three Mesquiteers, The Range Busters, and others, and that he used it in eight Rose Bowl Parades, among other Southern California parades. Fine overall condition and includes letter, photos, lobby cards and Corriganville brochures.

Provenance: Original bill of sale and a detailed letter from Ray Corrigan writing about the saddle, circa 1972, and a signed and inscribed image of Crash riding the saddle.
