Measures 9 1/2" x 14 3/8" embossed original tin sign, no corner holes. In 1912, the Hercules Powder Company was first registered as an independent entity along with the ownership of the Infallible trademark. The artist for this sophisticated outdoors woman is credited to Gayle Porter Hoskins. The lady in blue dress with double gun and dog became one of their more famous and popular advertising with the "Smokeless Shotgun Powder in Loaded Shells" slogan. This sign is in excellent condition retaining its bright color and showing only some very minor age spots. The back side of the raw tin does show some oxidation.
