DSP. An extremely bright and glossy example of this very rare Circa 1920's Porcelain Service Station Sign from Conoco Gasoline showing a large Minuteman graphic with the unique "Red Barrel" Rifle. This is a much more scarce piece than the more common Conoco Gasoline Sign showing the lithographed Soldier graphic. Sign features Conoco blue, yellow and red Porcelain as well as unique Conoco script. CONDITION: Side one shows incredible color and gloss throughout the field with excellent condition lettering as well as graphic. Side one shows two pencil eraser size chips in the Minuteman graphic as well as three very minor chips in the outer field. Side one shows one chip in the "C" of Conoco as well as light chipping in the G, O & L of Gasoline. The chipping on the "O & L" chips have been lightly touched up. The outer edge of side one shows chipping at each of the mounting holes as well as some light factory defect but overall outstanding, Grade 8.75+. Side two is also in outstanding condition showing incredible color and gloss throughout the Soldier and lettering. Side two shows a mint condition Minuteman with one area of chipping near the Soldier's face as well as chipping at the "O" of Gasoline. Side two shows one pencil eraser size chip in the "O" of Conoco as well as minor chipping at the four mounting holes along the outer edge. The outer edge of side two is very clean and overall displays very well, Grade 8.75+. A wonderful example of this very scarce and early Sign from Conoco Gasoline.
Condition: (8.75+).
