Silver plated fireman's horn made by Fred Miller and presented to Captain G.E. Lockwood. The presentation is framed by an applied device of a hydrant, wrist lantern, helmet, trumpet, ax, hose and ladders. Fred Miller was a supplier of fireman's equipment, including helmets and trumpets. This same metal device can be found on Miller's finest helmet fronts, not seen before on a trumpet. Nicely engraved steamer on the bell. Fire helmet tassel holders. Made by Fred Miller, New York, circa 1880. Fine with one minor ding and very fine plating. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
