Straight double edged blade with convex surfaces on both sides. Right side marked "**IOANIS*V**" and the left side marked "**IN TOLEDO**". Cup hilt chased with relief shell designs and scrollwork, as well as a floral design on the right side. Grip is wrapped with braided and twisted steel wire. CONDITION: Blade has been cleaned and retains a grey patina with some scattered dark freckling. Hilt has been cleaned en suite. Tang shows signs of recent tightening. Hilt is tight to blade. Knotted top grip ferrule shows some fraying. DMG
