DSP. C. 1930s Sterling Gasoline double-sided porcelain sign with Ethyl logo. CONDITION: Side 1, has good color and gloss, with significant surface staining throughout the piece, most notably in the yellow porcelain. Sign has areas of very minor surface scratching and one area of deeper scratching in the Ethyl logo. The outer edges of the sign and mounting holes also show porcelain loss. (8.9+). Side 2, has outstanding color and gloss throughout, with notable factory flaws throughout the "Sterling" and "Gasoline" lettering. The sign also shows minor staining in the white section of the Ethyl logo. The outer edges have minor porcelain loss and deterioration to the metal, as well as porcelain loss at the mounting holes. (9.0+). An overall outstanding example, highlighted by vivid color and gloss.
