35 - 1/2" spatulate blade that originally had a raised flattened ricasso, now softened by extensive polishing and cleaning. Electropencilled "I-X-A' on right side of reverse ricasso. Swept hilt cast and chased with curved quillion terminating in floral terminals and decorated with incised spiralwork. Wire wrapped handle, ovoid pommel with incised spiralwork. CONDITION: Blade heavily polished over old oxidation, with handling marks and cleaning marks throughout, with areas of fine oxidation. Hilt with casting marks and evidence of cleaning throughout. Handle rewrapped.
