SSP. Sign is Maker Marked F.E. Marsland, New York. An outstanding example of this early sign from United States Express Company. Sign shows excellent color & gloss throughout the field and is free of any chipping in the inner field. Sign shows a few minor areas of surface scratching in the gloss as well as some very minor age discoloration in the blue porcelain in a few areas. The outer edge is also in excellent condition, showing excellent color and gloss with just a few minor areas of light chipping and faint discoloration. The backside of the sign still retains remnants of the original paper Maker's Label. Overall a tough to beat example of this very early sign.
