The “Devils” nickname for the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment references the famous “Devils in Baggy Pants” reputation earned by the regiment during World War II after brutal fighting at Anzio, Italy. This version of the insignia became an unofficial design associated with the regimental identity. Patch measures approximately 6" x 6" and is sewn on a fragment of ERDL camouflage. The patch likely dates to the late Vietnam era. The insignia is contained in a wood frame that measures 15 - 1/2" x 13 - 1/2". Reverse frame is marked with an old paper label that reads "HAND MADE PATCH OF THE 504th P.I.R. EARLY 1970 IN VIET-NAM". Light wear. CONDITION: Good.

Item Dimensions: 15 - 1/2" x 13 - 1/2"
US 82ND AIRBORNE 504TH PIR PATCH.
