1881 pattern enlisted helmet with Ridabock label inside. Regulation 1881 pattern helmet plate with cross cannon and crossed cannon side buttons. Cord is an artillery shoulder cord with paddles in place. Buttons, front plate, base of spike show gilt. Spike shows rubbing. CONDITION: Very good. Nice color to helmet fabric and cord. Buttons, front plate and base of spike show gilt. Interior good, Visor lining shows wear and losses front and back. Sweatband in place. Body lining shown minor tears and stains, large "Co. L" in red and name "Costello" in black. A couple of minor stains and 1 pencil point moth nip to exterior. No bends, dents or tears.
