Mid-20th century western saddle. Maker stamped on top of fender: TALABARTERIA / CENTRAL . J.C. ABREGO SAN SALVADOR CA. The Talabartería Ábrego (historically operated as a premier peletería and talabartería) is most famously remembered as an iconic, historic saddlery and leather goods shop located in San Salvador, El Salvador. Owned by Horacio Ábrego (and historically associated with Antonio Ábrego), the workshop was located downtown on the Calle Poniente. It operated for a massive portion of the 20th century and became deeply embedded in local lore due to its unique storefront landmarks like a massive, stuffed taxidermy crocodile hanging over the sidewalk, which fascinated and occasionally terrified passing children. Inside the entrance sat a grand, full-sized display horse fully equipped with high-quality, handmade leather saddles, reins, and equestrian gear. Saddle has 14-1/2" seat, 2" cantle, horn to stirrups 36" length. CONDITION: Good. Rideable.

This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.

Item Dimensions: Overall: 24 - 1/2" x 22" x 36".
