C. 1893. This is one of the very best sets of Britains known to exist. It is so important that James Opie pictures this set on the cover of The Great Book of Britains. This is the only known boxed example and its condition is outstanding. Contains 8 foot figures and a mounted officer, 60mm figures with plugged hands and rifles. Box wear, missing end on box bottom. Also includes custom slipcase and opportunity to purchase arguably the rarest set No. 7 in existence.
