Circa 1940. Ruffler & Walker Helicopter Race game. This is a very rare arcade game, very few known to exist. This particular example is in excellent original condition with a light oak case. Original top glass marquee is in very good condition with only minor crazing along the extreme left-hand side. Interior is hand-painted on thick fiberboard. Colors are good and show original sheen. Helicopters are in good to very good condition and show no cracks or breaks. Boats that appear to be in ocean are in good to very good condition with no breaks or chips. Interior reveals early 40's mechanism in nice, original condition. This is a two-player game. Object of game is to insert two nickels, push in plunger to start, turn handles clockwise rapidly until helicopter reaches the top, the first to reach the top receives a nickel back. Machine is in good working order. Includes keys.
