1924 IMPRESSIVE ROTH JOHNSON DRUG STORE LEADED GLASS MORTAR AND PESTLE TRADE SIGN

This c. 1924 and dated large and impressive leaded glass lighted trade sign in the form of a mortar and pestle features wonderful multi-colored jewels in the center, with the company and established dating nicely scrolling around the top and bottom. CONDITION: The "ROTH JOHNSON DRUG COMPANY" ruby red stained glass panels around the top remain in clean condition, tightly fitted in their slots. The "ESTABLISHED 1925"" paneling along the bottom remains similarly clean and fits snuggly in their slots. The body of the light remains clean with the panels all retaining strong colors. The jewels are all present and show wonderful green, red, and blue colors. The top of the light shows the handle of the pestle sticking out. The sign is internally lit by period correct electrical fixtures and is ready to hang. An iconic and highly sought-after piece of Drug Store history.
