The Nuremberg region of Germany was bursting with soft toy companies during the twenties and thirties. One of the most prolific of these teddy bear makers was the Josef Pitrmann Company known for its outstanding mohair creations. JOPI manufactured several different designs for their bear line of stuffed animals. This particular bear is an example of their "Jackie" design. She is five-way jointed with large ears, glass eyes, black stitched nose and an inoperable growler. The circa 1930 teddy projects a warmth and tenderness that is sure to win the heart of any collector. Overall very good plus condition with some loss to the felt pads on arms and a small patch.

Item Dimensions: 20" T.
20" GOLD JOPI BEAR.
