This is a very early office drop calendar clock by the William L. Gilbert Clock Company of Winstead, Connecticut, complete with the original paper label on the inside and an original reverse glass sign on the front that reads "News Stand". All walnut construction with some burl to the top of the clock, showing the original calendar wheel as well as the original hands to the clock. The cabinet is in excellent condition with very little signs of wear, the face of the clock shows considerable wear to the paint of the front, as well as wear to the calendar wheel behind it from years of use. The clock is operative and comes complete with its original pendulum.
