Very pretty 13 - 1/2" bisque socket head on a separate shoulder plate, bearing beautiful blue bulbous eyes, a closed mouth with hint of a smile, pierced earlobes, well-painted lashes and brows, mounted to a separate bisque shoulder plate; only marking is a "2" on the back of the head. Although she is not specifically marked "FG," it has the characteristics and facial features and structure of the earlier Parisian. The body is all pale, firm leather, with gusset joints at elbows, hips and knees, and individually stitched fingers. The body has some typical surface wear and discoloration, but it is overall in relatively good shape and very firm, without a lot of sagging or looseness at the joints. She has been well re-costumed in a one-piece silk dress with brocade silk and lace overlay, has an antique, most likely original blonde mohair wig over cork pate, and also has a very attractive period wide-brimmed bonnet, again made of silk and fine lace with cloth flowers. Undergarments and socks are old. She no longer has any shoes or boots. CONDITION: Overall very good.
