This is a wonderful example of a Bally Spaceship Rocket Ride in very good condition. The rider places a dime in slot, then enters the rockets using the steps and pushes the button on the dash to start the ride. The speed of the ride is determined by pulling the joystick back to go faster and forward to slow down. Rockets are fired by pushing the button on top of the joystick, which illuminates and flashes the rocket guns on the front of the ship and also makes a gunshot sound. Taillights, headlights and rear lights flash and illuminate when the machine is started. A center fan gently blows. This rocket ride is in impressive condition with some crazing evident, consistent with age, but it only adds to the outstanding surface patina. The machine was given an conserved restoration to keep the patina while also doing a mechanical restoration making it 100% functional and flight worthy. A joy to watch this machine in operation.
