This 50 count two piece box contains 48 blank cartridges. The Union Metallic Cartridge Co. was founded in Bridgeport in 1867 and was purchased by Remington in 1912. This 19th century box has a red "blanks" sticker attached to lid. The pictured cartridge has a U stamp at base and "Model 1866" is present. The label and side aprons are green paper. The base has an orange "Guarantee" sticker. None of these cartridges show a U stamp but all are matching. CONDITION: All of the paper labels are intact and all aprons are intact. All lid inside corners appear to be factory waxed reinforced as there are no splits or cracks on outside of any corner. The top label shows only minor edge chipping, one eraser size spot of paper loss and small ear on right corner.
