This chalk bust of Rudolph Valentino is an early piece of Americana dating to the 1920s. Rudolph Valentino starred as the sheik in the most famous movie to which this figure was based on. CONDITION: There are some areas of paint loss, mostly to the outer edges of the form. It also shows are very shiny nose. It is likely this bust hung in a cigar store, and patrons would rub the nose for good luck. PROVENANCE: From the lifelong collection of Bill Howard.
