This cast bronze figural match holder shows a casting of a coated monkey playing the bass violin, with a drum without skin to his right that held matches. This particular casting resembles another casting elsewhere in this auction of a monkey performing dentistry on a dog, that one being the cigar holder and this one being the match holder. CONDITION: The match holder shows aged patina to the casting, with a rich, dark brown finish, with some highlighted areas. There are no breaks, cracks or repairs.
