Duffner & Kimberly table lamp has leaded glass shade in the French Renaissance pattern. The shade has a wide skirt with scrolls and bell flowers creating an irregular border. The top of the shade is decorated with large panels of red and yellow striated glass. Each panel is separated by three vertical rows of amber glass. The shade is pictured in the book "Mosaic Shades Vol II" by Paul Crist, page 196, lower left photo. The shade rests on an original Duffner & Kimberly thistle base. The foot features high relief thistle flowers with thistle leaves extending up the stem to the three socket cluster. The base is complete with original D & K Fleur de Lis cap. The base is finished in gold. Base is pictured in the same book on page 213, center left. Both shade and base are unsigned. Shade is 18" in diameter, base is 23" tall. Shade is very good to excellent with very few tight hairlines. The base is in very good condition. It appears to be painted over the original gold finish. Rewired with contemporary plastic cord.
