This early cast iron cigar cutter advertises Colonel J. J. Astor 5¢, made by the Louis Heitmann Co. out of Dayton, Ohio. The cast iron cigar cutter has a clock of unknown manufacture. The winding mechanism works and the second hand ticks, but is a little sluggish. It has original black paint, with replaced red paint to the raised lettering of the front shield. The clock operation is not tested, however it winds and ticks. Proceeds from the sale of this lot are being donated by the consignor to the Fayette Regional Humane Society in Washington Court House OH.
