Very unusual folding dirk, sometimes called a folding Bowie circa 1890s. Blade when closed is 3 - 5/8" and is 8" when extended. Overall length is 13". Knife is sterile with the exception of a lone patent number 19946. Handled in genuine stag. Very minor damage to center scale pin both front and back. Blade is solid and tight, handle has a unique mechanism to extend the blade by pulling on the guard and separating the knife handle. Condition is very good to excellent. Knife has very heavy nickel silver bolster with a one piece non folding finger guard, no sheath. TN
