Exceptionally nice and desirable size (12" tall), this cabinet sized doll in incised "7" in the back of the head and generally recognized to be from the J.D. Kestner company. She has blue glass sleep eyes, well painted lashes and brows, a closed mouth with stuck out upper lip, dimples at mouth edge surrounding chin, and is mounted to the original, early, fully jointed wood and composition body with straight wrists, which bears excellent original finish. In addition she had a lovely blond mohair wig with bangs, probably original, over a plaster pate and has been costumed in a simple but nice pale blue pleated gauze dress with lace trim and well coordinated bonnet with cloth flowers. Only the shoes appear to be a period later than the doll itself. this 12" doll is in excellent condition. Unfortunately, her have arms have become detached and need to be restrung but all are present and complete with all fingers.
Item Dimensions: 12" T.
