SSP. An incredibly rare piece of Circa 1930's Porcelain Signage from The Hancock Oil Company Of California, Long Beach, California. This piece is one of only two known examples and was originally used as a Door Sign on a Hancock Oil Company Delivery Truck. This piece features the "Full Feathered" strutting rooster graphic as well as Hancock Oil Company script throughout the field. CONDITION: Sign is overall outstanding condition showing an extremely clean Cock O' The Walk strutting Rooster graphic and a chip free field showing excellent color & gloss. Sign shows a few light areas of surface scratch in the field as well as a couple of very faint paper marks in the white porcelain which are not visible when not in direct light. Sign shows a very clean outer field and shows one light edge chip at the upper left with the remainder of the outer edge in excellent condition. Sign shows all four of its original grommets and overall displays outstanding. This is the first time one of two known examples with sell publicly and a very rare chance at an obscure and extremely scarce West Coast Oil Company rarity.
Condition: (9.0).
