Double edged blade with deep single fuller in center on each side, blade marked with engraved large crown and "GR" on right side, appears to also be marked with Andria Ferara makers mark on right side. Left side marked with large inscription that appears to be German but is not legible. Scottish type basket hilt of the dragoon type with pierced designs on each segment and engraved borders. Pommel with engraved lines complete with original leather lining inside guard, wooden grip with wire wrap at front and leather covered wood scabbard with steel drag and throat mouth with stud. Fair condition, blade has been cleaned and markings on each side on top are heavily worn, scattered areas of pitting and dark spots overall and some wear at tip. Hilt missing one large segment on left hand side, has been cleaned and retains an overall pitted gray patina. Wood grip missing leather wrap and with some age cracks. Scabbard good with large areas of missing leather and scattered marks from use, drags seem is separated and mounts retain a gray pitted patina.
