From the Collection of Investment Rarities Inc. One of the earliest known Mickey Mouse toys and one of the very rarest. There are probably only two others known and only one other known one with the original box. This example is mostly likely the best example known of this toy and box. The box shows Mickey riding a scooter on the front. Marked "Copyright Walt E. Disney". Shows Mickey on the sides hanging up posters. Marked "Another "Nifty" Toy. Geo. Borgefeldt & Co." for the distributor. Box is 100% original with some tape reinforcement on the bottom and has some tape residue removed from the bottom. Beautiful color graphics on a very square, crisp box. The toy itself has a 5-1/2" tall celluloid Mickey figure with a bent right leg and a curved tail riding a metal wind up scooter. Scooter still retains its original rubber tires. There is slight oxidation to the handle bars and Mickey has the very slightest green discoloration on his head and ears. Mickey's celluloid back is marked "Made in Japan". This would be a great addition for any serious Disney collector.
