Attractive King George II period, 1739 dated land document transferring ownership of pasture land from a Thomas Clarke of County Dorset to a John Swooke of County Dorset. Handwritten in script on velum, with affixed tax stamps. Signed at bottom by Thomas Clarke with wax seal. Framed in older black painted wood frame. CONDITION: Good. Document still bright with iron ink oxidizing to brown. Some expected creased from being folded and light abrasions. Frame has dings and paint loss around edges. PROVENANCE: Ex Lattimer. BAS
