This very attractive gold decorated Talwar has a 28" robust blade of 1-1/2" wide, mechanical Damascus with elaborate and pronounced watering pattern throughout. The heavy hilt of characteristic form is completely damascened in gold with flowers, foliage and arabesque patterns. CONDITION: The condition of the blade is crisp with minor staining at the tip. Gold decoration is nearly 100% intact with little is any wear. Scabbard with gold mounted decorated en suite, comprising wide ring and chape. The velvet covering the wood is faded but in good condition. An extremely attractive piece for the discerning collector.
